COLUMBARIUM COMPRISING WALLS JOINED BY ASSEMBLY DEVICES.
Technical Field of the Invention
The invention is in the field of columbaria made of niches which are intended to house funerary urns and which have a front access to their internal volume. It relates to a columbarium whose neighboring walls are joined together by an assembly device.
State of the art
The columbariums are funerary monuments intended to receive urns containing the ashes of the deceased. A columbarium has at least one niche assigned to receiving one or more urns, the recesses preferably being in plurality and being arranged next to each other. The columbarium is formed of walls adjacent at least two by two, comprising a pedestal and a roof wall braced by walls. Among the walls, one can distinguish outer walls delimiting the perimeter of the columbarium or a niche in the case where it is unique, and possibly inner walls that form partition walls between several niches that includes the columbarium.
A general problem lies in obtaining the columbarium and more particularly in the formation and in the junction of the walls that it comprises.
According to one embodiment, the columbariums are obtained by molding to form a monolithic assembly, the walls being made from a common material, such as a concrete or an aggregate composed of particularly mineral particles, which are embedded in a resin . For example, reference may be made to US3983667 (ZWICK W.H.) which describes such a columbarium. An advantage of such a step of achieving a columbarium lies in obtaining it at lower costs. However, the columbarium obtained is commonplace, unreliable reliability and durability in terms of its tightness, has an often mediocre external appearance raising among relatives of the deceased a feeling of dissatisfaction. Another similar known solution consists in producing the columbarium from molded walls which are assembled together by means of interlocking members. The material for obtaining the walls is a common material based on metal, especially aluminum, or even a material that can be considered by relatives of the deceased as vulgar, such as a reinforced plastic material. A skeleton composed of slides delimits the different niches that the columbarium comprises, the slides respectively receiving one of the slices of the walls by elastic interlocking. For example, reference may be made to EP1813739 (GUISEPPE BOSISIO S.R.L.) which describes such a method. The advantages provided by this solution lie in the modularity of the columbarium obtained, in its sealing and in its realization at lower costs. However, such a columbarium is still commonplace and still has an often poor external appearance, or even is of doubtful robustness.
According to a traditional embodiment, columbaria are obtained from walls which are assembled together and which are derived from a noble mineral material, such as lava, granite or limestone for example. Such columbariums are of quality, but have the disadvantage of being expensive to obtain. The walls are formed of monolithic plates cut from the noble material, which must be assembled together. The present invention is part of the constraints related to obtaining a columbarium produced in a traditional manner, from monolithic plates forming walls which are potentially from a noble material and which are assembled together by assembly members.
A common solution is to join the walls together by goujonnage. The connecting members consist of studs, through which the walls are joined to each other by interlocking. For example, documents CA2526260 (HORTH Y.) or US3888055 (GALLO ROBERTO A.) disclose such arrangements. However, it is common that the edges of the walls are used for joining them to each other, and it is necessary to give them a substantial thickness to provide holes for receiving studs of sufficient diameter to obtain a reliable and long-lasting junction of the walls between them, and an overall robustness of the columbarium which is satisfactory. Furthermore, it is desirable that the studs are not visible from outside the columbarium not to affect its overall aesthetic, which increases the difficulties of assembly and / or arrangement of the walls between them. This assembly must be done in a workshop by a specialized operator, which is binding. It finally appears that such a method of obtaining the columbarium is expensive, resulting in a decline in interest by relatives of the deceased for columbaria obtained in a traditional way, in favor of columbaria obtained by molding a common material .
Object of the invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a columbarium comprising connecting devices for joining together two neighboring walls. The walls that make up the columbarium are formed of monolithic plates potentially from a noble material. It is more particularly the object of the present invention to provide a columbarium with an assembly device which allows to join together the walls of the columbarium at least two by two, this junction offering polygonal conformation freedom around the columbarium and being obtained at a lower cost, without affecting either the external appearance or the overall robustness of the realized columbarium.
A columbarium according to the invention comprises monolithic walls and a device for assembling at least two by two of these monolithic walls, this device comprising connecting members of two neighboring walls which are respectively in contact with one and the other of the walls, and is characterized in that the connecting members comprise a pair of angle rods which bear against the walls respectively on either side of the latter, and at least one set of cooperating elements fixing at least one of the angle rods to one another, at least one of the angle rods comprising a relative positioning member of the adjacent walls relative to one another and which cleans between the walls a interstice able to allow the passage of the fasteners towards each other.
Advantageously, the relative positioning member is constituted by a shoe integral with one of the angle rods, the fastening elements being constituted for one of a screw and for the other of a tapped hole provided in the clog . The relative positioning of the side walls relative to one another can be achieved by means of ribs that includes the angle rod.
The cooperating fastening elements can be indifferently of the irreversible fitting type or screw-fastening type. At least one of the cooperating fastening elements may be indifferently constituted by an insert element or an element integrated in at least one of the angle rods.
Wings of the angle rods may form clamping jaws of the walls, which are operable towards each other from the cooperation of the fasteners therebetween.
At least one of the angle rods may be provided with at least one fastening bracket on a second adjacent wall which is oriented in its general plane orthogonal to the general orientation of extension of the corner rods.
The walls can be assembled successively two by two to give the columbarium an axially high polygonal conformation, the interior space of the columbarium being partitioned to provide a plurality of recesses, indifferently by at least one radial partition of which one of the slices is arranged in an assembly zone of two adjacent walls, or by at least one partition interposed between two opposite walls of the columbarium.
The columbarium is more particularly shaped axially extended polygon, and comprises at least one receiving niche of at least one funeral urn. This columbarium includes a base overhung by a cover wall, which are spaced by side walls, at least one of which has a front opening for introducing a funeral urn inside the niche dedicated thereto. This opening is provided with an access hatch to the interior volume of the niche.
It is specified that is commonly meant by angle rod an independent elongated member having a pair of lateral wings or the like which are connected by a median portion. The wings define between them a dihedron and the median part is likely to be of any conformation. For example and according to various variants of conformation of the angle rods, said middle portion is formed of an extension of the wings towards one another, this extension being capable of extending along the general plane of extension of the wings, or following a plan that is concurrent with it. This extension is also likely to be generally planar or to be curved conformation. The number of sides of the columbarium formed respectively by a side wall, defines the angle of the dihedron formed by the wings that comprise the rods, this angle being preferably constant for all the rods used for the assembly successively two by two of side walls of the columbarium.
Such methods of assembly of the walls of the columbarium between them can significantly reduce the thickness of the plates, and therefore the cost of material necessary for the formation of columbarium. The edges of the walls do not require any particular surface treatment, given the presence of the corner strips that mask them, which further reduces the cost of obtaining the walls. The assembly of the walls between them can be quickly carried out at the installation site of the columbarium by a non-specialized operator in the field of size and assembly of stone parts, which further reduces the costs of obtaining the columbarium. No major work is required to form the columbarium despite the use of monolithic walls of noble material of mineral origin, the various elements necessary for the formation of the columbarium can be transported independently and be assembled on site by the operator non specialized. The exterior appearance of the columbarium formed of walls of noble material is preserved, or is reinforced by the presence of the corner rods which emphasize the massive mineral character of the walls of the columbarium obtained. The angle rods are formed from preferably metal profiles, but are capable of being formed from any other material.
The angle rods are preferably used for joining together the side walls of the columbarium. The side walls are all successively assembled to each other through the corner rods, the resulting structure is robust. The watertightness of the columbarium is secured by the bearing of the wings against the walls, the corner rods further constituting sealing members against water infiltration inside the columbarium. The assembly of the side walls with the base and with the cover wall is preferably carried out by means of fastening brackets whose branches are respectively engaged, in particular by screwing, by dowelling or other similar technique, on the faces internal respectively of the base or the cover wall, and on at least one of the angle rods.
More particularly, the assembly device implements a double-crimped clamp for assembling two adjacent sidewalls. These fangs are respectively formed by the wings of the rods taken in pairs to jointly enclose the one and the other side walls of their edge. The fangs are arranged on either side of a median portion of the clamp corresponding to the median portions of the corner rods. The middle part of the clamp receives the cooperating fixing elements for closing the hooks respectively on one and the other of the walls.
According to a preferred embodiment, one of the fastening elements consists of a screw whose head bears against one of the angle rods. The thread of this screw cooperates with a threaded recess which is formed in a shoe integral with the other corner strip, and which constitutes the other fastener.
Advantageously, the shoe is also the positioning member. More particularly, the shoe is arranged as a stop member against which the walls are spontaneously rigorously positioned under the effect of the approximation of the angle rods towards one another, from the cooperation of the fastening elements. The edges of the shoe are preferably beveled to provide reliable bearing surfaces for the walls.
It will be noted that although the present invention aims to be exploited for walls formed from a noble mineral material, such as granite, lava or limestone in particular, the proposed assembly device is likely to be applied to a columbarium whose monolithic walls are formed from other more vulgar materials, such as concrete, an aggregate of particles embedded in a resin, or even a plastic material.
Description of the figures.
The present invention will be better understood on reading the description which will be given of exemplary embodiments, in relation to the figures of the appended plates, in which:
Figs. 1 to Fig. 4 are illustrations of an exemplary embodiment of a columbarium of the present invention having a single niche, respectively in perspective, in front view, in lateral section and in horizontal section.
Fig.5 to Fig.9 are horizontal sectional illustrations of respective embodiments of assembly devices according to the provisions of the present invention.
Fig.10 and fig. 11 are respectively horizontal sectional and perspective illustrations of embodiments of columbaria of the present invention, comprising a plurality of niches.
In figs. 1 to fig.4, a columbarium is intended for the preservation of a single funeral urn, and is formed from walls of noble mineral material, such as granite, which are assembled together. This columbarium is of axially high polygonal conformation, and comprises a base 1 overlaid with a cover wall 2, which are braced by side walls 3. One of the side walls 3 has a front opening 4 for the introduction of the funeral urn, this opening 4 being provided with a hatch 5 to deny access. The side walls 3 are joined to each other successively in pairs, by means of assembly devices 6 which are arranged at the corners of the polygon.
In fig.5 to fig.8, the assembly device 6 comprises two rods 7,8 angles that take antagonistic support against each of the side walls 3 to assemble. The rods of angles 7,8 are independent members advantageously derived from a profile, in particular metal, and extend along the edges of the side walls 3 being respectively disposed on either side of the latter. The bearing of the angle rods 7,8 against the side walls 3 is formed by means of lateral wings 9,10 that each comprise of the corner rods 7,8 and which define between them a dihedron. This bearing is performed either at the edges of the side walls, as shown in Fig.6 to Fig.8, or against the edges of the side walls for at least one 8 of the angle rods, such as as shown in fig.5. The lateral wings 9, 10 are connected to one another by a median portion 11, which is oriented either transversely to the general plane of extension of the lateral wings 9, 10 as shown in FIGS. parallel to this extension plane in extension of the lateral wings 9,10 as shown in Fig.8 for the outer rod. This middle portion 11 is likely to be flat, as shown in Fig.5 and Fig.7, or curve as shown in Fig.6.
The angle rods 7,8 are joined to each other by at least one set of cooperating fixing elements 12,13. In the exemplary embodiments shown, these fixing elements are constituted for one of a screw 12 and for the other of a tapped hole 13 for receiving the screw 12, which is formed in a shoe 14 integral with the one of the corner sticks. This joining is performed by sealing, and more particularly by welding, gluing or other similar sealing technique. The cooperation of the fastening elements 12, 13 together causes the lateral wings 9, 10 to be clamped against the side walls 3. The edges of the shoe 14 are chamfered, so that the side walls 3 can take a stable and comfortable support. in view of their rigorous positioning relative to each other. The shoe 14 makes it possible to place the edges of the side walls 3 at a distance from each other, leaving between them a gap for the passage of the screw 12 that it receives.
One of the angle rods 7,8 is equipped with brackets 15 for fixing respectively to the base 1 and to the cover wall 2. This attachment can be made by screwing or by dowelling, without requiring a substantial thickness. walls 1,2,3. The assembly of the side walls 3 between them makes it possible to form a rigid and robust structure, which is then assembled to the base 1 and the cover wall 2 by means of the brackets 15.
In FIG. 9, the fixing elements consist for one of a screw 16 whose head bears against one of the angle rods 7, and for the other by a nut 17 bearing against the Another angle rod 8. One of the angle rods 7 has a shank 18 for the passage of the screw 16 through it, which extends towards the other angle rod 8 shaped flat. The slices of this plate are bevelled to form the dihedron useful for a reliable and comfortable support of the corner strip 8 against the corresponding side wall 3. Such an arrangement of the assembly device is rather adapted to the junction between two adjacent side walls 3 delimiting between them a widely open angle, as in the embodiment shown in the figure. The relative positioning of the side walls 3 with respect to one another is obtained by means of ribs 23 that comprise the angle rod 7 equipped with the shaft 18, which are furthermore exploited to connect the latter to the lateral wings. 9,10 of this angle rod 7.
In the various exemplary embodiments, the inner corner strip 8 extends, preferably, only over a fraction of the length of the edge of the wall 3, in the area of the fastening elements 12, 13 or 16, 17 . The outer corner strip 9 extends along the entire length of the edge.
On fig.10 and fig.11, columbariums are intended to house several funeral urns 19, and include for this purpose a plurality of niches 20. These niches 20 are formed from a partitioning of the interior space of the columbarium . Each niche 20 is capable of receiving one or more funeral urns 19. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 10, the columbarium has an axially high octagonal conformation. The interior space of the columbarium is radially partitioned by partitions 21 which extend from the assembly areas of the side walls 3 between them. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 11, the columbarium has an axially high parallelepipedal conformation. The interior space of the columbarium is partitioned along one of its extension dimensions parallel to the ground, by a partition 22 which extends between two opposite side walls 3 of the columbarium.
